  Called to make an appointment on behalf of a friend of mine who has trouble understanding English over the phone. Firstly I will point out that I am always courteous over the phone when making appointments and I have never made a complaint in my life. Whoever answered the phone was incredibly rude and told me they did not make appointments (despite a doctor's referral and the doctor advising to call and make an appointment) and she did not know what I was talking about (I asked to make a fasting blood glucose test for my friend who is pregnant). Talked to me in a completely condescending and rude manner, treating me like I was stupid saying sarcastically, "again like I told you". I called Laverty Pathology in Hurstville straight after and nothing was a problem. The man I spoke to was very polite. Perfectly possible to make an appointment for a fasting blood glucose test for a pregnant friend. I would not recommend going to Douglas Hourglass in Hurstville on account of rudeness and being extremely unhelpful.

  I came in with the request from the different pathology group, after having needed to wait at the other place for over half an hour without even being acknowledged, but DHM happily accepted the other pathology request and i was seen to in less than 10 minutes. I barely felt anything, just a tiny scratch. I really dislike needless so i was very pleased.
